I always had this fear that somebody was outside looking in, that somebody was always after me....just a random paranoia.  Turns out one night I just happened to be right.
He followed me everywhere I went that day, and then he watched through the living room window.  What a wretched heart this man carried.

Braden Cooper kicked himself for overlooking the striking difference in the room.

He saw that his huge potted fern had been turned on its side and the terracotta pot had shattered.

Braden didn't own any pets...

he lived alone.

he had a sit down job, a sit down life, no kids to worry about, no criminal record, no nagging wife.

He ate 3 square meals a day and did everything according to routine.

Then he awakens to see his prized fern, barely hanging on to life on the mess of dirt and pot pieces that blanketed the immediate area around the sofa, where the fern used to sit proud and tall.

He checked the door... locked and no forced entry....
He checked the windows... he was paranoid about those...
they were all locked, shuttered and curtains drawn.

he scanned the room... everything was fine. except for the plant.

he was a perfectionist. anything that messed up his rhythm needed to be remedied ASAP. He went to the kitchen closet and reached for the broom and dustpan, to begin the healing process... and he glanced over at the sink, idly...

The sink was stopped up with something.... and was half filled with blood!

His heart thumped. The dustpan and broom clattered to the floor.
He had no scratches... no missing body parts.... Braden was shaking so hard his teeth were chattering. Make it go away. Make it go away. Make it go away. He ran the water and turned on the disposal.

The disposal went 'click' but did not turn on. There was something stuck. He wanted to call the police.. but he realized how strange this would look. he would call when he knew what was going on. he ran around the house... first to the small bathroom...

he was shocked to see that the....

We drove so slowly... I couldnt wait. As we passed, everyone stopped what they were doing and turned our way. I tried not to give in to their empty stares. I completely turned away. It wouldnt be much longer; we were almost there. We drove on, through every row. I didnt remember there being that many. And then we made it. It was more beautiful than anything I remembered.

Every nights walk home was pretty much the same. Same dogs barking, same cars, and even the same trash on the street. Nothing ever changed on my way home. Every night I would walk past orange construction cones blocking traffic from going in or out of an old church parking lot, and every night I would kick one and it would land in the same spot everyday and be back at its post the next day, and that was just one of the many things that would never change. It never snowed, rained or sleated on those streets, but they always seemed to be damp like it had just stopped raining. Except for today, today was different. I could tell the moment I got outside that things were going to be different today. Instead of everything being cold and damp, it was a dry crisp night air, and no dogs were barking. I stood there a moment contemplating this then started on my walk home thinking tonights going to be different tonights going to be something to remember.

Subject:First Entry... Story Start

I was walking down to the record store one day when I passed this clown walking up in the opposite direction. She was just like those clowns you see on tv: a huge foam red nose, a mulicolored polkadot jumpsuit, and yellow yarn hair with a huge purple flower, except her makeup was all runny and gross looking. I couldnt help but stare. And she stared back. All of a sudden as I walked past her, I fell forward onto the sidewalk. As I looked up, I saw her towering over me with a horrible sneer on her face. Then she kicked me in the stomach and yelled, "Thats exactly what you deserve!" and walked away. I laid there, hunched over in pain, confused.
